It may only be the beginning of week 7 in the 2013 football season but, that does not mean that all eyes aren’t already focused on that one day, that one game, the Super Bowl! The return players that have taken their place on the field before knows, it will take more than hard work and dedication to reach the goal, it will also take a little luck and being able to put one or more of the nation’s best players in your teams colors won’t hurt either. The teams that are lucky enough to have the best of the best players will naturally have a better chance at fulfilling the dream for their franchise.
Everyone has an opinion but, it is hard to ignore the performance of a few top contenders. Players that become instrumental in their teams success become almost god like to the fans. Players like Peyton Manning, starting superstar quarterback for the Denver Broncos who is on pace to set another season of NFL records. He is currently knocking on the door to set new single season record for completion percentages, touchdowns, passing yards, passer rating, QBR and interception percentage. He is known to his fans as the MVP on the most talented team in the NFL. Manning is a definite shoe-in for the single season record and the MVP. Many football analysts and experts agree that Manning may be the best all-around athlete to ever play the game of football.
Denver is not the only top team in the land to sport a top notch QB; New England Patriots Tom Brady is no slouch. He has led the legendary Patriots to 4 out of 5 wins this season already with a struggling offensive line. What else could New England fans expect from a 3 time Super Bowl champion like Brady? Find out about our top football bet for the season.
Don’t count ‘em out
Do not under estimate the skill and determination that the New Orleans Saints is famous for. With a quarter back like Drew Brees and a record setting tight end like Jimmy Graham, the Saints will be a tough contender for all comers this year. Brees has been his usual rock star self, completing seventy percent of his passes for twelve touchdowns. He’s 4th in the NFL in passer rating and yards per attempt, and he’s 3rd in QBR. The Saints are a virtual lock for their fourth postseason appearance in the last five seasons and could have control by November.
It is hard to say who will take home the ring this year just yet, but my heart and common sense tells me not to count out New Orleans Saints and the magnificent skill of legendary Peyton Manning for the season. Regardless of the team we support on an individual level, the traditions and values set by the NFL helps shape our way of life in the US making us all winners.
